Special Flight Operation Certificate (SFOC)

AgCon Aerial Corp. has recently received their SFOC, Special Flight Operation Certificate, from Transport Canada.

This certificate will allow us to fly our drones at night for marketing/promo shots. It will allow us more options to deploy drones in search and rescue.

AgCon President Rob Gunn spent time this summer training with Foothills Search and Rescue (FSAR), based in Turner Valley. FSAR is a volunteer organization that collaborates with Emergency Management Alberta, and other agencies providing experienced members in various elements of search and rescue (SAR).

Drones are playing an increased part of search and rescue; now being able to fly at night won’t hamper our efforts.
