Aerial Farming
AgCon Aerial has recently partnered with The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to develop drone technology for farmers. The use of UAV’s are looking to change the face of farming.
This new technology can allow farmers to check on livestock and fields with ease. Imagine not having to pay a plane to do a fly-by once a year for an image of your land. You hold the technology to check on your fields in your hand, and on your schedule.
Livestock can be fitted with ID tags, which can be detected up to 40 feet away. By adding an infrared camera, you can potentially see when cattle is getting sick. Finding illness early can save hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars.
